We started our day at 8:00 am having breakfast with Jen, Jane, Harper and Harry before their 8 hour drive to Salt Lake City.
After admiring the views at the trailhead...
... we started our first adventure down Bright Angel Trail. We hiked down for an hour or so and then came up by 11:00, beating the heat that would hit by noon.
For a break from hiking we took the shuttle bus to the west end of the park to see the views from Hermit’s Rest.
Our last hike of the day was along the rim trail at the east end of the park.

A day is not complete without SHOPPING at one of the many gift stores in the park!
